These beautiful Mount St. Helen's Jewelry pieces are made from the volcanic ash of Mount St. Helens. The mountain, which is located in Washington state, erupted on May 18, 1980 with the exposive force of 500 atomic bombs. Thirteen hundred feet of earth was blown from the top of the mountain, sending a cloud of ash and smoke more than 60,000 feet into the air.
Mount St. Helen's Jewelry is made from this volcanic ash. It is the Chromium in this ash that gives our Mount St. Helen's Jewelry pieces their deep green color. All of our green Mount St. Helen's gemstones are hand cut and then placed in Sterling silver settings creating beautiful Mount St. Helen's Jewelry pieces which will be cherished for years to come.
